Upcoming meetings news
23rd March - You be the judge night
Tonight gives you the chance to put yourselves in the judge's shoes!
Firstly - anyone up for it is welcome to submit up to 3 PDIs and/or up to 3 Prints for judging; please be aware this is not a competition, and anyone up for some friendly constructive feedback is welcome to submit images, there is no theme and no criteria to meet.
On the night we will display the images with sheets of paper to collect your anonymous comments during the first half of the evening.
After a refreshment break; the comments will be collated and talked through for each image.
An excellent opportunity for us all to see how hard it is to be a judge!
13th April - outdoor practical night (weather depending). Bring your camera, and meet at the car park at 7pm.
27th April - Music Night: Illustrate Some of your Favourite Songs
Tonight for a bit of fun and entertainment, we'll be playing a version of 'Name That Tune'.
You are able to send in 3 PDIs per person.
Each photo should illustrate a song title in some way such that the rest of us are in with a chance to guess what the title is from looking at your photo.
It would be great if we could use our imagination a bit rather than go for Bridge Over Troubled Water, or Red Red Wine - however the choice of song/s is entirely yours.
Entries to be submitted with what the title is [anyone then wanting a sing-song is welcome to join in, and all being well I can try to find the song to play to confirm the correct answer.
Pretty much anything goes; its just for fun, no scores, no prizes. So have a think and see what you can come up with.
Images should be the normal competition sizes and emailed to coalvillecdps@gmail.com on or before Monday 30th March.
If you need some examples - here are a couple of really random ones to give you a rough idea what we're looking for:
Lily The Pink [for people of a 'certain age'!]
and
Love Is Like A Butterfly [for those of a more serene disposition!]
Meetings held at: CAN HQ, Memorial Square, Coalville, LE67 3TU
